Let’s make history.
I’m Sam. Before I pivoted into fashion, I taught AP U.S. History in LA. Before that, I spent time in the music industry through internships in NYC. Suffice it to say, I’ve learned how to engage an audience, whether it’s a classroom full of teenagers or a boardroom full of executives.
I believe everybody has a story to tell. And clothing has a unique way of telling that story before any words are spoken. What we wear carries history, personality, culture and context, which is what drew me to vintage in the first place.
Most recently, I worked in vintage sourcing at J.Crew, uncovering pieces from the brand’s archive and bringing them back through physical and digital experiences. The work combined everything I’m drawn to: research, storytelling, product, people and the thrill of giving pieces of history a new life.
Now I’m looking to keep working at the intersection of vintage, archives, sourcing and brand storytelling, helping brands communicate where they’ve been and using that history to shape where they go next.
