Online Archive Drop
August 2026

J.Crew opened its archive to customers online with a limited release of more than 200 original pieces spanning nearly two decades of the brand’s history.

The assortment brought together one-of-a-kind J.Crew garments from 1983 to 2000. From barn jackets, rugbys and rollneck sweaters to denim, shirting, outerwear and accessories, we turned decades of brand history into a shoppable digital archive.

Unlike a traditional vintage-inspired collection, these were original J.Crew pieces sourced from the past, individually prepared and presented for a new generation of customers.

My Role: Vintage Sample Coordinator
  • Sourced and researched vintage J.Crew pieces across multiple categories and eras.
  • Identified product that reflected recognizable moments, silhouettes and signatures from the brand’s history.
  • Coordinated with vintage dealers, sellers and other sourcing channels to locate potential pieces.
  • Used airtable to create tag guides for tags to help us date the vintage garments we sourced.

  • Tracked sourced product through acquisition, intake and internal review.
  • Organized product information including era, category, sizing, condition and other identifying details.
  • Helped build and maintain the assortment as pieces moved toward the digital launch.
  • Coordinated vintage samples and product movement across internal teams.
  • Supported the preparation of one-of-a-kind pieces for photography, ecommerce and final sale.
  • Helped translate a physical archive and sourcing process into a customer-facing online assortment.
